Dr. Dre has sold 51 percent of Beats Electronics to Taiwan based company HTC in a $309 million deal. Dre Dre and Jimmy Iovine founded the company in 2006 which produced the popular Beats headphones with celebrity-endorsed lines by Lady Gaga, Diddy, and Justin Bieber. “The HTC and Beats by Dr. Dre partnership is an opportunity for two world-class companies to redefine the smartphone industry and define the future,” said Iovine.
