SHOWTIME SAYS…
The Federal Government has granted North Carolina and Virginia $48 Million to develop a high speed rail line that goes from Raleigh to Washington DC.
Roughly $4 Million of the money will be given to North Carolina so the state can study and engineer a potential rail line that would run from Raleigh to Richmond, Va. The new line will hopefully reduce travel by 90 minutes.
We can expect the project to be complete sometime between 2018 and 2022.
