Super Bowl Commercials 2012

Why in the world the advertising companies in the Super Bowl 2012 pulled the trigger to let their commercials and ads be seen before the actual showing in the Super Bowl itself? As for the record, NFL Super Bowl commercials provides the viewers to stay on the same channel and that it has been working lately for the companies. Super Bowl 46 is quite different because most if not all the ads were already out for public viewing.

The element of surprise is gone in terms of seeing the Super Bowl commercials 2012 for the first time as they were became available two weeks ago. The increase of dropping them to the social media has absolutely paved the way to nullify the enjoyment of watching super bowl commercials for the first time. As a matter of fact, for the advertisers perspective, it’s worth the money to make that vaunting move for their ads to be in the internet as early as finishing the conference championship games.

For most of the advertisers, by letting their super bowl commercials online, the ads already gained publicity and captured the attention of the NFL fans. As early as last week, some of the commercials went on viral already as the social media picked it up. Partly, the advertisers have met the goal of getting thousands or even millions of views in the internet pre-superbowl time.

In business perspective, a 30-second super bowl commercial costs $3.5 million. With at least 100 million viewers in the super bowl 46, then the super bowl ad is worth $0.035 for each viewer. It is a cheap way of advertisement but for the advertising company, it is still risky to do it. However, the most efficient way of making it happen for the advertisers as the super bowl is not being watched only in the United States but around the world. It may not get the task like a soccer game but super bowl is the biggest game in United States.

2012 Super Bowl start time is at 6:30 PM ET. The television coverage of super bowl is on NBC. Which team do you think will win? Will the Giants get their second superbowl win against the Patriots?
