A recent study determined what many of us have been saying. Facebook users are more likely to cheat. I have a friend who stays away from Facebook calling it The Quicker Breaker Upper. The study revealed that high Facebook usage is associated with negative relationship outcomes. A relationship expert stated that some people use Facebook to act out by engaging in inappropriate relationships with an ex, old friend, or someone they just met casually and end up cheating with them. Flirting on social media to some can seem harmless but many times it ends up escalating to something that can eventually ruin your relationship. Your relationship may be okay if you have been in it for a while since the study reports that these social media issues impacts only relatively newer relationships of three years or less.
