It’s been 14 years since Jagged Edge‘s break-out album, J.E. Heartbreak, which gave us hits like “He Can’t Love U,” “Let’s Get Married,” and “Promise,” was released. The album eventually went double platinum and stands as their highest selling album to date.
Now, the foursome, consisting of two sets of brother’s, is back with the lead single, “Hope,” off their upcoming eighth album, J.E. Heartbreak Too. The album is the sequel to J.E. Heartbreak.
To make sure that the album lives up to the original, JE has reunited with Jermaine Dupri, who will act as executive producer of the album. Dupri said:
“Making a sequel to a classic album is difficult. We don’t want to stray from the blueprint of the first album. It’s definitely a challenge, but the fans won’t be disappointed.”
Listen to Jagged Edge’s comeback single, produced by twins Brian and Brandon Casey and Bryan-Michael Cox, below. The track will be available from digital retailers on June 17.
