Janet Jackson - Unbreakable World Tour

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its inductees this morning, and Janet Jackson was not one of them. Eligible for nomination since 2007, 2015 was the first year she was nominated, but she was not chosen to be inducted.

Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, Chicago, and Steve Miller were acts chosen by the R&RHOF, as well as legendary rap group, NWA.

Other acts overlooked included, The Smiths, Nine Inch Nails, Yes, Chic (nominated for a record 10 times), Chaka Khan, The Cars.

What do you think about Janet getting snubbed?? My thoughts are directly in line with  Troy L. Smith at cleveland.com:

“Her failure to earn induction highlights older rock voters claims’ that Miss Jackson isn’t rock, isn’t Madonna and isn’t as good as her brother. I couldn’t disagree more.

“Janet Jackson has released No.1 albums in four decades, helped break racial barriers on MTV and has 10 chart-topping singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She would have given the 2016 inductions the headliner it needed.”
