The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 114-81 in Game 5 of the West Quarterfinals, advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals. In Stephen Curry’s absence, Golden State managed to dominate Houston once again. James Harden scored 35 PTS for the Rockets, while no one else surpassed 11 PTS. Dwight Howard did total 21 rebounds in what was likely his final game in Houston. Klay Thompson had 27 PTS for the Warriors, who shot 54.9% from the field compared to the Rockets’ 32.6%. The Warriors now advance to the West Semifinals to face either the Trail Blazers or banged up Clippers. Stephen Curry will miss at least some time during that series.
