VH1 is bringing back the ‘Hip Hop Honors’ award show to celebrate some of the culture’s greatest talents. After a six-year hiatus the show will return live from NYC and will “pay homage to the female pioneers, trailblazers, and trend-setters who lead a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today.”
The show will be produced by Queen Latifah and Mona Scott-Young. No word on who will be honored yet but lets take a look at some of the women who have made really good contributions in Hip Hop.
