Three employees at a Walmart in Georgia have been disciplined after refusing to make a “Blue Lives Matter” cake. The cake was for a woman who was celebrating her father’s retirement from the police force.

The employees reportedly refused to make the cake because of their belief that it was “racist”. The woman reportedly says that the employees told her that they did not feel comfortable making the cake and referred her to another bakery. The customer asked to speak with a manager who offered to make the cake and give her a $50 gift card.

The woman told Fox News that she was “shocked” and “didn’t know what to do or say”.

Walmart issued a statement saying:

“Our goal is to always take care of customers. But, sometimes we misstep. We’re glad we were able to connect with the family to apologize and make this right.”
