Swizz Beatz denied that he owed Mashonda the money and said that he agreed to pay more than the judge and even his lawyers recommended.

“I gave over what the judge was recommending to give. I gave her $700,000 upfront, because I thought $200,000 wasn’t enough for what she wanted to do. I still get spit in my face for it,” Swizz said.

Swizz lashed out at his ex-wife, claiming that he was frustrated over Mashonda’s use of the media as their divorce played out.

Mashonda Is Suing Swizz For Being A Deadbeat Dad

FROM RADAR ONLINE: The custody battle between Halle Berry and her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry is heating up.

Halle is scheduled to spend three months shooting a movie in South Africa and that triggered Gabriel to consider his legal options to fight for permanent custody of their daughter Nahla.

As we reported earlier (UPDATE: Halle Kicked Gabriel Out “Months Ago”), the parents were remaining amicable since the split and had hashed out a property and custody agreement with Gabriel taking ownership of their house in Canada and sharing custody of their daughter 50/50.

However, Gabriel is refusing to spend three summer months away from his daughter while Halle films. He has requested that he be allowed to keep her with him in Los Angeles but Halle has not obliged, so the “two have reached a total stalemate, with both of them looking into entering a legal battle,” a source said. Jay-Z leads the nominations with 5 nominations across multiple categories: Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year (for which he holds two nominations) and Viewer’s Choice. Closely behind are Beyonce (Best Female R&B Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, Viewer’s Choice), Alicia Keys (Best Female R&B Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, Viewer’s Choice), Trey Songz (Best Male R&B Artist, Best Collaboration – 2, Viewer’s Choice) and Melanie Fiona (Best Female R&B Artist, Best New Artist, Video of the Year, Centric Award) with 4 each.

Drake locks 3 individual nominations with an additional 3 for Young Money. Nicki Minaj has 2 individual nods as well as 3 for Young Money. Other multiple nominees include Rihanna, Fabolous, B.O.B., Maxwell and Monica.

“America’s Got Talent” and online sensation Alexis Jordan, 17, has signed a deal, thanks to Jay-Z!

Currently at work on her debut album, Jordan recently spoke of the deal, which stemmed from her success online, specifically on YouTube.

Of the call she received from Stargate, who arranged a meeting and recording session,

“I thought if they didn’t love me then they wouldn’t fly me all the way out to New York. I knew I had a good chance. Once I got out there we recorded a few songs and Jay-Z came to the studio. I was so excited! And the next thing I knew I was signed to StarRoc/Roc Nation.”

On her first single “Happiness,” Alexis belts out lyrics covering self-joy and empowerment over Stargate’s up-tempo.

She says,

“I want to be really positive, no cussing, none of that. I’m a young artist and I want to be a role model. A lot of songs are upbeat, and some are ballads. There’s a little bit of that country vibe in it, and a little bit of that reggae vibe. My album really has everything.”
