Rap legend Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of the world famous rap group Run-DMC continues to campaign for the rights of adopted and abused children. DMC is part of the “Be Careful Who Cares for Your Child” public service campaign in New York that is encouraging parents to be more responsible with the people they hire to care for their children. The campaign was launched in the midst of several children’s’ death at the hands of childcare givers in the city. “Very few people believe that someone they love or trust could ever hurt their child, but sadly it happens,” Mayor Bloomberg said in a press conference last week. “Choosing an appropriate caregiver is one of the most important decisions a parent can make, and just because someone is a relative or close friend does not mean they are capable of taking care of a child.” DMC will be featured in ads on TV, radio, bus shelters and the Internet.

T.I. is covering next week’s issue of JET magazine. And he’s also giving readers a peek into his fab home which was the set of the shoot.

Even though T.I. recently interviewed with the magazine he says he cannot “confirm or deny that a wedding is taking place this weekend.”

Sources reveal the King’s fiance’ Tiny was upset when she found out the invitation leaked online. And quickly sent out a request to all her guests asking them to not speak about it.

Speculations are T.I. and Tiny are indeed getting married this weekend in Miami on Star Island. The location is supposedly very close to Gloria Estefan’s home and Shaq’s home.

Guests, of course, are not allowed to bring cameras and there will be security checkpoints. And we’re told Monica and Keyshia Cole will indeed be in attendance.

While this sounds contradictory, Kanye West conveyed this message in his disclaimer as he performed to a predominately white audience at FaceBook, this week. Before performing his song “Mama’s Boyfriend’, the uncensored rapper said, “pardon me, it’s a lot of the use of the N Word…But I’m allowed to use it”.

This is not a surprising stunt from the infamous for controversy rapper Mr. West. And althought this does seem like another sudden outburst, he is not alone, and this is how many blacks feel, while others feel that the use to this word is demeaning no matter how people try to turn it into a “positive” thing.

I still don’t know. What do you guys think?

Lindsay has been put in lockdown after her fellow L.A. County jail inmates began chanting “firecrotch” over and over, causing the jailed actress to have a “hysterical fit.”

According to fellow inmate Cheryl Presser, ““Lindsay would lie there shivering all night, crying and covering her face with her hands. Her wailing was keeping everyone awake …. She had a hysterical fit, crying and yelling, so she got put in isolation.”

It sounds like Lindsey Lohan should have also been charged with disturbance of the peace on top of her 90 day jail sentence, that will inevitably be cut short.

She should have learned from her fellow “Party Party Party let’s all get waisted” buddy, Paris Hilton. Jail is no home sweet home and we see she hasn’t been back since.

Lohan thought it was a game until those handcuffs were slapped on her and she put that orange jump suit on.

But no worries Lindsey you’ll be out in a week or so, and then hopefully you really do go to rehab instead of suddenly trying to get in to avoid jail. This girl needs some help.

The actor finds himself on the IRS’ bad side after they filed documents claiming that Tucker owes over $11 million in back taxes dating to 2001.

Here’s how the numbers break down:

2001 — $4,007,794.34

2004 — $55,544.84
2005 — $660,414.94
2006 — $1,788,080.91

Those numbers all add up to a grand total of $11,571,909.26.

As the summer comes to end , the anticipation continues to build for Kanye West’s newest album entitled Good Ass Job.

In what many over the net are called “Kanye Unplugged”, the staff of Facebook in Palo Alto, California, was treated to a brief preview of Kanye West’s newest material.

“I’ve been writing new stuff for the new album and I’ve just got a couple raps that I really like, so I thought it’d be cool just to say them for you all,” West said to the Facebook employees. “All y’all turn your phones off.”

While standing on a table reciting his material, Kanye essentially gave the Facebook staff a spoken word preview of the album.

“This is actually a bit more like a poem,” West said at the top of “Lost,” a song about love gone wrong.

“You’re my devil/ You’re my angel/ You’re my heaven/ You’re my hell,” he sneers at one point, then goes on more angrily: “Lost in the plastic life/ Let’s break out of this fake-ass party/ Turn this into a classic night.”

“Chain Gang” is what many are calling classic Kanye with lines like “My teeth already white/ You gonna make me floss for nothing,” and “They try to tell me aliens built the pyramids/ I swear, life’s a b***h on a pyramid” )

“It took me 33 years of my life to write [this]. It means a lot to me, and it’s called ‘Mama’s Boyfriend,’” West said of another song, as the room grew quiet. “There’s a lot of use of the N-word, but I’m allowed to use it.

Afterwards, the rapper blogged about the experience.

“Many times in life I’ve had to deal with moments of doubt. And as it’s been a minute since I’ve performed any fresh material in front of an audience, this could’ve been one of those moments… but it wasn’t,” Kanye wrote. “Your energy was a gift so electric, so genuine, that it really helped me give my best. The energy was so inspiring I had to keep going!”

Everybody remembers when the original, dark brown skinned, “Aunt Viv” disappeared and was replaced by a new, fair skinned, character on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Well the “Where is Waldo” Fresh Prince edition is now over, and the mystery of the original “Aunt Viv’s” dissapearance has been replaced by Huber telling it all on the “Life After” series premiere.

Janet Hubert, most known for her role as “Aunt Viv” on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air aired out her grievances with the show and Will Smith on a segment that aired on TV One. “No, I will not come to your dressing room and dance! I’m not a groupie, I’m a grown mature 38 year old woman” she said of her working relationship with Will.

Although it has been plenty of years since Hubert has been off the show, since 1993 to be exact, she still seems to be feeling a little “salty” about the experience.

Get ready for all the gossip in her tell all book titled, “Perfection is Not a Sitcom Mom.” She describes her relationship with the star of the show,Will Smith, and from what we understand it wasn’t a pleasant one. Well we hope this book stirs up some juicy things to talk about.

Common got his S.A.G. card. Baby, he’s an actor.

After appearing in roles in the Steve Carrell/Tina Fey comedy Date Night and starring opposite Queen Latifah in Just Wright, Common is looking to transition from movie roles to television.

The rapper, who is probably making way more loot from these acting roles than for his albums, has been cast in the upcoming AMC network’s television western series “Hell On Wheels.” Common will portray Elam, a freed half-white, half-black slave in the show which centers around the building of the Transcontinental Railroad.

“Common brings a layered intensity to a very complex role,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s VP of programming. “This part required someone who can transcend the stereotypes of the period and bring the character to life in a truly unique way, and he brings that.”
