Yesterday more than a thousand mourners attended the funeral of a 5-year-old Shaniya Davis. Investigators believe that Shaniya was raped and killed after she was taken from her home on Nov. 10. Her body was found in a patch of kudzu near the Lee-Harnett county line last Monday. Shaniya was laid to rest at Manna Church in Fayetteville.
