Soulja Boy has reportedly filed a lawsuit against his former manager, Philip Ransom, over signing “oppressive” contracts.

In the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Singleton, who produced the Craig Brewer-directed drama, says he entertained multiple distribution offers for the film after it premiered to raves at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
He signed a $9 million deal with Paramount, he claims, because the studio promised to “put” two additional features as long as their budgets didn’t exceed $3.5 million each and his producing fee wasn’t higher than 7.5 percent. (Singleton also granted the studio rights to Brewer’s “Black Snake Moan.’) “Hustle and Flow” made $22 million worldwide and won an Oscar for best song (Moan made about $10 million) but Singleton says Paramount later backed out of the “put” agreement by adding conditions that made it impossible to get the movies made.

Savely was filmed in November 2010 by the show’s producers, but refused to sign a waiver because he feared the “footage would misrepresent his connection with other artists whose style conflict with the one that he has developed.” However, his image appeared anyway in the opening of the show in December 2010.

According to the suit, “[Savely] understands that the reason many of the parents of the students he teaches employ his services is because they can trust him to provide their children with something more modern yet not corrupt.” However, Minaj “dresses provocatively, uses profanity and glorifies a specific lifestyle,” all of which is contrary to Savely’s more “conservative” image. Philly rapper Beanie Sigel and a Philadelphia nightclub are among the defendants in a new lawsuit filed by a New Jersey resident who was shot at a party for the rapper.

Tyheem Baker is suing Beanie Sigel, Clear Channel and local Philly radio station, WUSL Power 99 FM over the shooting, which occurred at Club Solo in 2009.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County, Baker was invited to the “Beanie Sigel & Friends Birthday Celebration” at Club Solo.

On March 7th, 2009, Baker was shot in the chest outside of the restrooms of Club Solo, leaving him with fractured ribs, and bullet fragments in his lungs.

The lawsuit claims Baker was shot as a direct result of the “joint and concurrent negligent, reckless, intentional, willful and wanton conduct of the defendants.”

Baker claims Club Solo should have known that unknown individual who shot him should have never been admitted into the club with a gun and claims several other violent altercations took place inside the venue.

Tyheem Baker is seeking $50,000 from the defendants, in addition to medical bills and money for pain and suffering.

“That was how I stayed in touch with people,” said Fteja, 39, who estimated he had about 340 friends when he was inexplicably cut off. He said he has pressed the company for months to find out what happened, but to no avail.

“You call, they don’t answer the phone. You write, they don’t reply,” he said — leaving him no choice but to go to court to get what he considers his property back.

“I lived in a communist country where people had no rights. This looks the same to me,” the Montenegro native said. “I’m not doing this for money. I’m doing this for justice,” he said.

Fteja, who filed his suit against the $50 billion company in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday, said he has been using Facebook for about three years, mainly to keep in touch with family and friends in Montenegro, Albania, Germany and Austria.

He found out he had been cut off on Sept. 24, when he tried to sign on to his account, but couldn’t. After a few more attempts, the site told him his account had been “disabled.”

He tried to find out why, but only got a form e-mail back two weeks later telling him he had somehow violated the terms of the Facebook agreement.

The Web site typically cuts off users if they’ve posted objectionable content, or are suspected of spamming.

“I know one thing — I didn’t do anything. I didn’t violate anything,” Fteja said, adding he wouldn’t be suing if he had.

“Did somebody hack my account? I don’t know. If it’s that somebody hacked my account, Facebook should help me. If you have a problem with your AOL login, AOL helps you. Not Facebook,” he said.

Since the site didn’t inform his list of friends that his account had been disabled, many assumed he had de-friended them. “I don’t know if you’re mad at me or what’s going on,” one female friend told him in a voicemail.

His suit notes that Fteja is Muslim, and charges Facebook with religious discrimination. “You don’t treat people like that,” he said. “They make a lot of money from the people. Why treat your customers like that?”

Foxy Brown’s New Year’s Eve blow up via Twitter may land her in court, as her former manager is now planning to sue for studio fees and other expenses.

Foxy’s former manager Bernadette Brennan told The New York Daily News that she dropped the rapper as a client, after her Twitter tirade on December 31st.

According to Brennan, Foxy is in need of “help” due to her self-destructive behavior.

“It’s always sad when an artist has everything they need at their fingertips but still displays such self-destructive behavior,” Bernadette Brennan told the Daily News. “I hope she gets the help she needs. I was one of the few people in her corner.”

Brennan claims she is planning a lawsuit against the former rap star, who is accused of racking up over $100,000 in studio bills.

Foxy Brown also reportedly blew off a concert at the Splash Bar in Manhattan and put the kibosh on her own Christmas Eve party at the Jelani Lounge in Brooklyn.

The rapper flew into a tirade when Brennan, Nightlife Productions and Daddy Bigg$ of Platinum Camp, announced they were releasing a new track titled “U Aint Ruff Enough.”

The single was supposed to be sold on iTunes on January 1st, but an unmixed, rough version featuring Foxy’s garbled vocals hit the net instead.

Foxy Brown’s next appearance will be in court.

She is slated to stand trial after refusing a plea deal over a misdemeanor charge for violating a court order. The charges stem from a July 2010 altercation with her neighborhood rival Arlene Raymond.

Foxy Brown is accused of violating a protection order filed by Raymond when she allegedly cursed at the woman and mooned her during their verbal confrontation.

If convicted, Foxy could spend up to one year in prison.
