Concerned about the winter weather advisory in effect for our area?

Gov. Roy Cooper has declared a State of Emergency for all 100 counties in North Carolina. The Winter National Weather Service has extended a winter weather advisory through Tuesday to warn residents about hazardous travel conditions. Drivers should be careful because black ice will be a problem in the area for the next few days.

The NCDOT encourages everyone to stay off the roads.

Of course, the best advice is to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. However, if you must go out, there are a few things that you can do to reduce your risk on the road.
