Little Brother’s Phonte & 9th Wonder Reconcile, Beef “Squashed”

Fans of North Carolina bred group Little Brother can breathe a little easier when it comes to a possible reunion after Phonte and 9th Wonder sat down as men to mend their broken friendship.

According to Phonte via Twitter, the reunion of the two took place after a 4-year “beef” that included a Twitter rant and a Twit vid explaining the situation.

Phonte states that although their discussion was a long time coming, at this time they are merely focusing on repairing the brotherhood that was lost.

“I appreciate the love for me and @9thwondermusic, but us mending our rift had nothing to do with music and everything to do with manhood,” Phonte tweeted. “Took 4 years, 2 plates of food and 6 hrs. of convo, but we squashed it. #brotherhood”

Although the reunion seems like it is the furthest thing from the mind of the men, Phonte answered the looming question about possible record by stating it may happen in the future.

“We may collaborate in time, but this is not the start of a LB reunion as neither of us have interest in doing so. Sorry to disappoint.” Phonte continued. “Our friendship began as Phonte Coleman and Patrick Douthit long before a ‘LB’ or ‘9th Wonder’ existed. This was about rebuilding that bond.”

As of press time, 9th Wonder has yet to comment, but did retweet Phonte’s statement to his fans. Looks like 2011 is definitely starting off on a positive note, check out the picture of the North Carolina legeds together courtesy of Phonte.
