Roger Stephens of Stone Mountain, Georgia was convicted on Tuesday of second degree child cruelty after he slapped a two-year old baby in the face at a local Wal-Mart in September.
62-year-old Stephens approached the child’s mother inside the store and said,
“If you don’t shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you.”
Stephens then was reported to have slapped the baby four or five times and added,
“See, I told you I would shut her up.”
The child was not injured but did suffer redness to the face.
Stephens will now serve six months in jail followed by another six months of home confinement.
SMH!!! I dont understand how the mother let this man slap her child more than once!! This man slaps the baby 4-5 times!! WTH!! Protect your children!!
