Rapper T.I. may be spending a year behind bars, but that isn’t stopping fans from snapping up copies of his latest album No Mercy, which was recently certified Gold.
The album was released on December 7th, just as the rapper started serving a year-long prison stint in an Arkansas prison for a September violation of the terms of his previous probation for gun charges.
No Mercy, which is T.I.’s seventh album, has sold in excess of 500,000 copies, to earn the Gold certification from the RIAA.
The album sold almost 160,000 copies during its first week in stores, placing it a #4 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.
