Trina will be the latest celebrity honored by Excellence in Music and Entertainment for the Jamaican organization’s annual EME Awards.
The awards, set to take place on March 12, will highlight the Miami emcee for her work with various island artists including Lady Saw and Trinidadian-American sensation Nicki Minaj.
Trina will be the 2011 “International Friend of Reggae” honoree at this year’s ceremony taking place at the East Lawns of the historical Devon House in Kingston.
The event was covered last year by BET who was on hand to witness India Arie perform and be honored as the previous “International Friend of Reggae.”
