Jeffs says that his religious rights are being trampled on and that God would seek revenge if the trial continued. (Well the trial did con’t) and he now faces up to life in prison. His church is said to have at least 10,000 members and they see Jeffs as God’s spokesman on earth…
Prosecutors also told jurors that they will present evidence that Jeffs had 78 wives and that 24 of them were under the age of 17…
Eleven other FLDS men were charged with crimes including sexual assault and bigamy.
