SHOWTIME SAYS…

In a move that seems to follow every other major business model in the world right now the U.S. Post Office is raising prices on stamps again. On Januart 22 the rate of 44 cents will increase by 1 cent bringing the cost of first class mail to 45 cents.

After losing $8 billion last year, the post office expects to cover some of their losses with this new price increase.

There have been several proposal to help the post office cut costs. One of the proposals is to cut the delivery from six to five days a week and shutting down offices around the country.

I guess this is just another sign of the times…
