Wednesday the U.S. Postal service announced that the historic post office located in downtown Raleigh will remain open.
The office that is located in the Federal Building on Fayetville St is 134-years old and has been a tremendous decrease in business like many other postal offices around the country.
After announcing that they were planning on moving the downtown postal center’s operations to another building on New Bern Avenue the USPS listened to customer outcry and had a change of heart.
