SHOWTIME SAYS…

Drivers who frequent the Wade Avenue extension in West Raleigh can expect a slight change in the speed limit on the busy road.   The Department of Transportation has raised the speed limit in the area from 55 mph to 60 mph.

Authorities posted the new speed limit last week due to a request made by the Regional Transportation Alliance.  The DOT plans to also look at requests by the group to allow speeds up to 70 mph on several other sections of interstate where the speed limit is now 65.
