March 1st – Common releases the hit single “The Corner” on Geffen Records, on this day in 2005.
The gritty track from Common`s sixth album “Be”, was produced by Kanye West and also features West on the chorus, as well as spoken word lyrics by The Last Poets.
Kanye West directed the video for “The Corner” as well.
