How many kids does Lil Wayne have? Wayne has four children—three sons and one daughter. His first, a girl named Reginea, was born when the 29-year-old rapper was just 15. Weezy married the mother, his childhood sweetheart Antonia Johnson, on Valentine’s Day in 2004, but sadly, they divorced two years later. Son Dwayne III, born to ex-girlfriend Sarah Vivian in Cincinnati, followed on Oct. 22, 2008, and on Sept. 9, 2009, the tatted-up “Lollipop” rhymer welcomed another son, Cameron Cater, born to actress Lauren London. Wayne’s youngest, Neal, arrived on Nov. 39, 2009. The mother, singer Nivea, was once married to Terius “The-Dream” Nash, and she has three children with the acclaimed R&B producer.

Although Lil Wayne has four kids by four different mothers, the New Orleans native apparently takes parenting very seriously. “Fatherhood is the most important thing to me; that’s what’s first,” Wayne said in July 2011, according to the Global Grind. His commitment to his children may stem from the fact that his own father abandoned his family when he was just two years old. Wayne was actually born Dwayne Michael Carter. Jr., and it’s out of resentment for his absentee father that he adopted his stage name. “I dropped the D because I’m a junior and my father is living and he’s not in my life and he’s never been in my life,” he once told Katie Couric. “So I don’t want to be Dwayne, I’d rather be Wayne.”

Four children by four different women may seem like a lot for a dude who’s not yet 30, but compared to the late rappers Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, both of whom purportedly fathered seven kids, Weezy’s doing just fine. If he wants to catch Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, the ‘50s-era R&B curio who, with hits like “I Put a Spell On You,” paved the way for eccentric African American geniuses such as himself, he’ll really have to get busy. Hawkins sired at least 57 kids, and some say the number is actually 75.
