The $200 million Disney film “Maleficent,” which stars Angelina Jolie (pictured), will also include a cast member that is near and dear to the actresses’ heart: her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that 7-year-old Zahara, who was adopted by Angelina and actor Brad Pitt, will have a small role in the film.  Siblings Vivienne and older brother Pax will also join their sister on-screen as well. Neither Zahara nor Pax will have speaking roles in the film.

The live-action, fantasy movie is the tale of “Sleeping Beauty” told from the perspective of the princess’ evil nemesis, Maleficent.

Last year, Angelina came under fire from the Black community for adding extensions to then 6-year-old Zahara’s hair. Many slammed the White actress for not knowing how to properly care for the child’s hair.

Angelina allowed Zahara to sport braid extensions which many claimed would only breed feelings of insecurity in someone so young but the added hair length might cause the child to not embrace her own natural hair.

Meanwhile, “Maleficent” is set to open in March 2014.
