Born and raised in the streets of Brooklyn but repping North Carolina to the fullest!. After talking with me you will understand why I do what I do for a living. My first aspiration was to be a news broadcaster but after landing an internship at New York's #1 station in the early 90's while attending The Center for the Media Arts, radio had my heart.
After winning a contest on New York's #1 Hip Hop Station Hot 97 in 1999 "Who Want to be a DJ", I was offered a part-time position there, where I worked weekends and fill- ins. Yeah in NEW YORK CITY blasting on the airwaves where I stayed for more than three years before moving back to North Carolina to be closer to my family.
Dubbed "Da First Lady" in 2002 after becoming the first female on The Beat in New Bern, NC. July of 2005 I landed at Radio One's WQOK K97.5 in Raleigh, NC. where I created my gossip segment which can now be seen on our website.Takin over Middays in 2007 in the Capital City and been loving every minute of it. You can catch me in the mix of many community projects including Shena Shares Prom Promises and several Motorcycle Club projects. Working on my 1st Novel and other projects so get ready for an exciting ride with the one they call Da 1st Lady! Owwwwwwwww!!!!!
