Ja’s lawer, Stacey Richman told MTV News: “He completed his state sentence, but the state and federal sentences were running concurrently and there is an overage on the federal one. He still owes time on the federal charge.”
Even after Ja completes his second prison term, he will still owe the federal government over $1 million in back taxes. Richman said the rapper will be on three years of post-supervised release in New York State. Richman also shared that Ja is eager to to get back to work and his family.
