Several demonstrations and vigils were held yesterday in honor of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old unarmed black teenager that was shot by George Zimmerman.He has been charged with second-degree murder and the trial is set to start on June 10th. A vigil in the Orlando suburb of Sanford, Fla., where the shooting occurred, a moment of silence was held at 7:15 p.m., the time Martin was killed. That vigil was organized by Geri Hepburn, a white parent whose son became politically active after the shooting became a focal point of the nation. His parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton attended a candlelight vigil in New York City yesterday where Jamie Foxx attended and sang. Check it out….
