Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Atlantic City has officially shut it’s doors.

According to reports, the nightclub suffered from flooding and a “big hole in the roof” from the Superstorm that hit in October last year. Along with the damages, spokesperson Ron Berkowitz said the club’s lease came to an end around the same time as the storm.

“With the end of the lease and with Sandy, we decided we had a great run, and it was time to move on,” he said.

The club originally opened in October 2005 and celebs like Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Serena Williams, Zoe Saldana and Magic Johnson have all popped bottles there.

Despite the bad news, party-goers have no reason to be sad. Tri-State locals can check out Jay-Z’s other 40/40 locations in Mantattan and at the Brooklyn Barclay’s Center.
