This week, the “Milkshake” singer released a new track called “Jerk Ribs.”

In typical Kelis style, the record is funky and infuses elements of Afropop, hip-hop and neo-soul.
“Jerk Ribs,” which was originally titled “Call On Me,” was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek.
She’s rumored to have two albums on the way this year under Sitek’s independent label Federal Prism.
Kelis took to Twitter this week to let her fans know that album is complete and on the way. “I’m really excited, my album is done. It sounds like love and summer balled up into one!” she tweeted. “You asked when new stuff was coming, I procrastinated but no more. It’s here now, I’m happy. You should be too, embrace it! Wepa!”
Kelis’ last album, Flesh Tone, hit stories in 2010.
