Raleigh police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in her North Hills apartment on Tuesday.
A construction worker was approached by an 8-year-old girl in the Allister North Hills Apartments complex around 7:30am. The child was asking for help for her mother who was left in the apartment.
The body of 30-year-old Melissa Dawn Huggins-Jones was found on a bed inside of the apartment.
Police have not identified a suspect in the case and are asking anyone who may have information to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.
It was not clear if anyone else lived in the apartment.
