4th-of-july-lake-pleasant05 If you are staying in the triangle for the 4th of July no worries ….a lot is going on.

*Raleigh…It’s the Independence Day Celebration extravaganza on Fayetteville Street starting at 12 pm – 11 pm. There will be street performers, eating contests, art, and so much more. Fireworks start at 9:30 pm. For more info click here…

*Durham…July 4th & 6th 10 am – 6 pm, Durham City Park

Community entertainment, arts and craftwork sharing, food and fun by the Eno River and Watershed during the 34th Festival for the Eno.

*Garner….July 3rd 5 pm – 10 pm, Lake Benson Park, 921 Buffalo Rd. Come out and dance with DJ Flimsy followed by a concert by the NC Symphony, grab something to eat via non-profit vendors, and settle down for the fireworks show starting at 9:30 (subject to change.) *Chapel Hill… live music, food, and Family Fun at the Kenan Memorial Stadium, opening at 7 pm.Performances by Kenny Mann and Liquid Pleasure and FREE glow sticks to the first 10,000 people.Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Click here for more details

*Fuquay-Varina…July 3rd, The Independence Day Celebration begins at 6 pm, fireworks start at sundown. Click here to see the full list of events and schedule.

*Wakeforest….It’s a two-day celebration with Fireworks beginning July 3rd at Wake Forest High school, gates open at 5:30 pm. On July 4th, there will be a children’s parade starting at 10:30 pm and a day full of art and games in Holding Park. Click To go to event site and get the event app.

*Smithfield…There’s plenty of food and entertainment in Downtown Smithfield for the 4th of July Celebration. Fun starts at 5 and fireworks begin at 9:30 on 200 S. Front St.

*Cary…July 3rd Concert at 6:30pm at Cary Senior Center with Applause! Cary Youth Theatre Troupe and Cary Town Band

7 am – 12 pm: Celebration Old Fashioned in Bond Park

–     Activities include Fishing Tournament, Parade Decorate your non-gased vehicles, Parade In the Park, Canine Talent Show, Family Contest,  Sidewalk Decorating, and a Revolutionary War Camp Demonstration.

3 pm – 10 pm: Koka Booth Ampitheatre

–      Enjoy  the Cary Town Band and NC Symphony later in the evening. Before then, there will be some things to do for the kids like a video game truck and a magician, and fun for the entire family including Frozen T-Shirt Contest and Ice Cream Eating Contest, and more.
