Thousands of people gathered in downtown Raleigh yesterday to attend the Triangle For Trayvon rally at Moore Square. This event brought together folks who wanted to voice their opinion on issues like the George Zimmerman verdict, racial profiling, stand your ground type laws, and more.
The event was organized by K97.5’s Showtime along with Angela Hubbard, and Shenika Hinton. The streets of downtown Raleigh were flooded as protesters rallied from Moore Square and walked to Martin St. Baptist Church. Once at Martin St. Baptist, there was a very inspiring message delivered by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber who is the local president of the NC NAACP.
