ESPN has fired former NFL player and show host  Hugh Douglas after he got into an altercation with his co-host at a party in Orlando, FL a few weeks ago.

Reportedly Douglas got drunk and called his “Numbers Never Lie” co-host a “House N*gga” while the two were arguing at a party.

Douglass tweeted “I am very disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about this situation and my future at the appropriate time,”  on Tuesday.

Douglas, who was a first-round pick of the Jets in 1995 apparently snatched Smith up during a party for the National Association of Black Journalists on August 2.  Douglass was upset that Smith did not assist him with getting onto the stage with the DJ during the party.  Once he finally got onto the stage Douglass confronted Smith and grabbed his wrist.  Several reports say that Smith was also called an “Uncle Tom” and a “House N*gga” by Douglass.
