George Zimmerman was arrested again today. The man who was acquitted in the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin earlier this year is in trouble with the law once again.
Zimmerman’s girlfriend called 911 in a frenzy after Zimmerman allegedly pointed an assault rifle (Probably THIS one) at her and began to destroy things in her home.
Seminole County Sheriff deputies in Florida arrested Zimmerman and charged him with felony aggravated assault for pushing the girlfriend while she was on the phone with a police dispatcher. Zimmerman was also charged and arrested for two misdemeanors, domestic violence battery and criminal mischief.
Many media outlets are reporting that Zimmerman’s girlfriend was pregnant at the time of this incident. If you listen to the 911 tape you will hear her say that they have been dating since August.
This isn’t Zimmerman’s first run in with the law since his acquittal. Back in September Zimmerman’s wife (yup…he is still married) called police and reported that old Georgie boy assaulted her in their home and destroyed an iPad that had video evidence of his crime on it.
He is currently being held without bail, but Zimmerman will stand in front of a judge tomorrow. Regardless of what happens in this current case that is pending against Zimmerman, I am a firm believer that he will eventually have to answer for killing Trayvon Martin.
