This is what it looks like outside the radio station this morning.

The North Carolina Transportation Department says most roads in the state were hazardous. The weather was a factor in separate traffic accidents in Surry County that killed two people.

It’s gonna be a few hours before state Department of Transportation crews can plow and treat the Triangle’s heavily-traveled roads.

Gov. Pat McCrory is asking drivers to stay off the roads, if possible. He declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm. Travelers are asked NOT to call 911 or the state Highway Patrol for road conditions so the lines can remain clear for emergency calls.
