Robin Thicke just can’t seem to catch a break these days.  Despite his seemingly valiant attempt to save his marriage with the moderately well-received Paula album, his wife Paula Patton still filed for divorce in late fall 2014.  And then there was all the controversy surrounding Thicke’s chart-topping single, “Blurred Lines,” which resulted in a lawsuit  Marvin Gaye’s family filed against Thicke and Pharrell Williams.  Thicke and Williams counter-sued, but lost the first round against the family.

Now news comes that Thicke’s ex-wife is set to testify in yet another case brought against him by Marvin Gaye’s estate involving allegations of plagiarism, this time with regards to Thicke’s song “Love After War.”  Marvin Gaye III, son of the legendary R&B and soul icon, claims that Thicke’s song is too similar to his father’s song, “After the Dance.”  Turns out Patton received a co-writing credit for the song and also stars in the video for the song, and will appear as a witness when the case goes to court.
