6840147_GDetroit police officer suspended, accused of carrying gun while drunk

A Detroit police officer is suspended with pay for allegedly being drunk off-duty carrying her gun.

Batoul Lossia of Detroit’s Golden Greek bar says Deloma Stone has been one of her more memorable customers.

“Three times and all three times, it was a headache,” Lossia said.

But this time Lossia and her staff at the Eight Mile bar had enough with Stone, a 38-year-old Detroit police officer Monday night.

FOX 2 is told she was drunk at the bar and claimed she won the $20,000 dollar jackpot in Keno. Surveillance video shows the bartender try convince her that she didn’t.

“She said we stole her ticket we didn’t steal her ticket because she was drunk,” Lossia said.

So drunk they say she followed a bartender into the bathroom and punched her in the back of the neck.

“Be careful don’t punch me I’ll call the cops on you,” Lossia says her bartender said. Stone allegedly said the cops were her friends.

Lossia says they had no choice but to call police.

“We had enough,” she said.

A couple of Detroit police officers show up, searched Stone and found her drunk. Police discovered she was one of their own, and had her department issued gun in her purse.

Stone was arrested blew a .14. She has since been charged with possession of a firearm under the influence.

But this isn’t the first time Stone has had brushes with the law in her 15-year career.

Last summer she was arrested when she got drunk, threw a brick through someone’s window. When police showed up, they found her pistol was in her pocket book.

And Stone can’t seem to escape the controversy. A couple of years ago – someone broke into her Eastpointe home and she was forced to shoot in self-defense.

She was also caught up in the domestic drama that lead to the demotion of Cmdr. James Moore.

Stone will be formally charged Thursday. The penalty carries up to 93 days in jail.
