Federal judge Terrence Berg shot outside Detroit home

A federal judge was taken to the hospital after being shot in Detroit, Local 4 has confirmed through federal law enforcement.

The shooting happened Thursday around 9:10 p.m. in front of Judge Terrence Berg’s home in the city’s University District.

Detroit police said two men approached Berg, a struggled ensued and a shot was fired, striking him in the leg. The two men, likely in their late teens to early 20s, escaped the scene in a dark-colored Dodge Charger.

Public viewing set for newborn found at Detroit-area recycling center

According to Fox 2 News, the public will have a chance to give their respects to a newborn boy whose body was found at a recycling center.

The boy, named Henry Alexander by the community, will lie in state Tuesday, March 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kaul Funeral Home on Gratiot Avenue in Roseville. The public is welcome.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, but final arrangements have yet to be made regarding interment.
