Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde launched her very own line of bucket hats. She partnered with Wale’s hat line called Wrkng Title.
This idea came about shortly after Wale and Melissa had a discussion about the quality of existing bucket hats and the need for more appropriate fabric, prints and custom fitting.
Melissa’s line is called M$$xWT and her ultimate goal was to place more emphasis on the hats being worn as a fashion statement versus just another accessory.
Forde’s collection is made up of three unique bucket hats: “Black Beauty,” “Rastaprint” and “Pink Pineapple.” Each hat is retailed at $55.
Forde has assured fans that she will release an extended array of hats for the summer, starting in May 2015. She is also working as Creative Director for Wale’s Wrking Title Fall 2015 beanie line.
Although she also supported the launch of Jay-Z‘s new streaming service, TIDAL; Rihanna did not miss her BFF’s launch as she appeared in a Pink Pineapple bucket hair matching her Melissa’s.
