Part one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show was everything fans expected as these ladies wasted no time bringing on the drama.
What people can’t stop talking about is Apollo Nida allegedly getting physical with his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks.
“My husband definitely has a temper, and he can get out of hand,” Phaedra Parks opens up to reunion host, Andy Cohen while reflecting on a previous episode that shows him storming in their Atlanta home. Apollo is currently incarcerated on an eight-year sentence for fraud.
When Andy asked if Apollo ever got physical with Phaedra, she responded: “I just don’t know if I need to discuss that with you, to be honest,” Parks stated, appearing to hold back her tears.
Phaedra has not officially filed for a divorce from Apollo and continues to take their children to visit him while in prison. “I want people to be proud of me as a mother and a wife,” Phaedra explained. “I need time to make the appropriate decisions for my life and children.”
Meanwhile, castmates Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes went back and forth as a result of a tweet NeNe posted prior to the reunion show. The post read: “This girl is such a hater of mines! She has so much s— to say about me! See u Friday boo boo.”
NeNe tells Andy that Kandi has been “hating” on her for the majority of the show. “This girl really hates me. I never did anything to her.”
Kandi is not one to back down from an altercation and immediately responded to NeNe’s accusations. “I don’t hate you. I hate your superior[ity] complex,” Kandi explained. “I hate when you talk down to people.”
Also, let’s not forget the ridiculously amusing fight between Phaedra and Kenya Moore. Kenya sarcastically informed Phaedra that if she was in fact a whore Phaedra portrays her to be, there would be a “whore museum” in her honor.
