Nike is backing out of the James Harden contract that was on the table. They figured they couldn’t compete with the $200 million contract Adidas is offering James Harden. Nike had concerns that sinking so much money into one player wouldn’t be a great move on their part since they have other stars that would like to target.
The fact that Hardens girlfriend Khloe was wearing an Adidas jacket during his Drew League game this weekend was may have been the writing on the wall.
