Two aspiring writers are dragging 50 Cent to court over allegations that he stole their idea for his hit show “Power.”

A lawsuit filed in Manhattan Federal Court claims that R. Byron Hord and Curtis Scoon wrote a pilot for a TV show called “Dangerous” in late 2009. To which the script is basically the same. Hord and Scoon state they pitched copies of the script to several entertainment execs in LA, who in 2011 met with 50 and asked whether he wanted to develop it into a show. Hord and Scoon say 50 Cent never personally reached out to them, but ending up premiering “Power” 3 years later, in June 2014.

50 Cent works as an executive producer and is now in the filming process for the highly anticipated season 4.
