Young pilot, Isaiah Cooper, is setting records and making history at the age of 17.

Cooper is from Compton, CA and is planning to pilot an airplane across the United States and at the age of 17 he will be the youngest African-American pilot to do so.

Accompanied by a co-pilot, the Compton, Calif., native completed the two-week, 8,000-mile cross-country trip at the age of 16 last July, after years of flight training.

Isaiah says, “I live a block away from the Compton/Woodley airport and I’ve always loved airplanes.”
