The story of #MariahCarey’s rise to fame will soon appear on our television screens.
According to Deadline, #Starz is developing an untitled fictional scripted drama series based on the singer’s real life experiences during her rise to stardom. Mariah Carey will serve as the show’s executive producer alongside, Brett Ratner.
Based on the show’s synopsis, the Nina Coleman written series will be set, “in 1986 New York City and chronicles the rise of an ambitious bi-racial 16-year-old girl, an aspiring singer-songwriter who survived a difficult childhood to become the biggest selling female music artist of all time.”
