It’s a new day at Roc Nation.

Last week, the entertainment company announced Korean hip-hop artist Jay Park has become an official part of the family, with Billboard reporting he’s the first Asian-American artist Roc Nation has signed.

Jay Park was a part of K-pop group 2PM in 2008, before leaving the band to go solo. In 2013, he started his Above Ordinary Music Group (AOMG) independent record label. This year, he announced his new global hip-hop label H1GHR Music Records. Park also won Artist of the Year at the 2017 Korean Music Awards. Clearly, this has been a long time coming. He hit Instagram to announce the exciting news.

“This is a win for the Town. This is a win for Korea. This is a win for Asian Americans. This is a win for the overlooked and underappreciated,” he wrote in the post above.

If you’re unfamiliar, watch one of his latest videos below.
