Steve Harvey‘s wife Marjorie Harvey seems to have quite the past. Before becoming the comedian’s lover and friend, Marjorie was allegedly dating not one, but two big time drug dealers. According to theJasmineBRAND.com, Marjorie married Steve in 2007, but before that she was married to drug lord Jim L. Townsend, 68. The FBI and DEA were even investigating Marjorie because according to documents, they suspected her of playing a role in the drug ring. Authorities reportedly told Townsend “his wife would be arrested, as the agents believed they had substantial evidence of her own illegal activities” if he didn’t cooperate.
Townsend was eventually indicted for trying to buy 40 kilos of cocaine and sentenced to life in prison. He was released in January 2017 after serving 26 years thanks to then-President Barack Obama‘s pardon. Marjorie broke up with Townsend less than five years into his sentence, but she seemed to gravitate to men in the drug game. She reportedly got involved with kingpin Donnell Woods and had her third child, Lori, with him in 1997. They were married in 2000, around the same time the FBI was beginning to investigate Woods for his role in a drug smuggling operation.
Seems like Marjorie was about that life. Neither she nor Steve Harvey have yet to comment on the reports.
