Rapper J. Cole has signed on as an executive producer the new film entitled Raising Bertie. The documentary will explore the lives of three young black men growing up in rural North Carolina over a six year period. Critical moments in the lives of Reginald “Junior” Askew, David “Bud” Perry, and Davonte “Dada” Harrell as they grow up in Bertie County, NC.
