Back in 1995, Tupac dropped a song called ‘Me Against The World’ and was featured on an album of the same name. It was released while he was in prison and much of the content talks about police brutality and injustices which easily translates to the recent and ongoing NFL protests.

This week, #ColinKaepernick was spotted in NYC wearing a shirt with the song title and it seems as though he’s making a silent statement about those who have chastised him for standing up to racism.

Some of the lyrics to ‘Me Against The World’ read, “When will I finally get to rest through this oppression? They punish the people that’s askin’ questions” and “Dreamin’ of riches, in a position of makin’ a difference. Politicians are hypocrites, they don’t wanna listen.”
