Kudos for Cardi B! After three weeks at the top spot on the Billboard top 100 her hit single “Bodak Yellow” is now the longest running number 1 song by a solo woman rapper artist ever. The song also tied Taylor Swift’s hit “Look What You Made Me Do” for the longest running stint at number 1 in 2017. The only other female Hip Hop artist to stay number one for more than one week was Lauryn Hill who dropped “Doo Wop” (That Thing) back in 1998.
